Overview

DIOSynVax (DVX) Ltd is a University of Cambridge spin-out applying computational vaccine design — including AI-designed “super-antigens” — to create broad-spectrum vaccines against virus families such as Sarbecoviruses and Ebola.

Recent Developments

  • 2026: Completed Phase 1 human trial of universal Sarbeco coronavirus vaccine with Cambridge — first vaccine whose active component was fully AI-designed (2026-06-05-cambridge-ai-vaccine-journal-infection)
    • 39 healthy volunteers; safe, modest cross-reactive antibody response
    • Published in Journal of Infection
    • Needle-free DNA delivery via microfluidic jet

Phase 1 confirms safety only. Efficacy against real-world infection unproven. Immune responses were modest.
