PwC’s 2027 Global Digital Trust Insights Survey captured views of 3,934 business and tech executives across 71 countries (launched October 1, 2026).
Findings: 84% expect cyber budgets to rise (up from 78% prior year); 58% rank AI among top cyber budget priorities; 50% of security leaders identify attacks targeting AI systems among threats they feel least prepared for (ahead of cloud 40%, third-party breaches 34%, ransomware 33%); only 39% have fully formalized operational continuity plans addressing cyber risks; roughly 22% would authorize fully autonomous AI agents for cyber defense.
