Microsoft Execution Containers (MXC) are generally available on Windows 11 as of October 7, 2026. MXC lets developers and IT define file and network policies enforced at runtime via backends including process container (AppContainer), session container, WSL container, and experimental MicroVM.
Intune policy for MXC process containers on Windows 11 is coming soon. MXC integrates with Microsoft Agent 365 and Entra for agent identity and governance on local devices.
