Greg Lui, 38, owner of Earthmade Computer Inc., was arrested on a three-count federal indictment for smuggling more than $300 million worth of export-controlled servers containing Nvidia GPUs to China.
From 2023 to 2024, Lui and co-conspirators shipped items through Malaysia and Singapore then illegally re-exported them to China. Earthmade received more than $176 million from two Malaysia-based shipment companies. Servers contained Nvidia A100 and H100 GPUs.
Lui faces up to 20 years on conspiracy, 20 years on money laundering, and 10 years on smuggling if convicted.
