The Search API and Fetch API give agents and RAG applications access to live web content:
- Search API — finds web pages for a query, powered by DeepSeek’s in-house search engine.
- Fetch API — retrieves a single web page as Markdown.

Bearer authentication same as DeepSeek API.
Search supports query operators: site:, -site:, exclusions, exact phrases, lang:, after:, before:.
Response fields include rerank_score, title, url, snippet, summary, optional content, authority tier 0–4.

Billable only on HTTP 200 with non-empty results (Search) or page content (Fetch). Failed requests, empty search, timeouts not billed.
Rate limits
Independent 5 QPS per account for Search and Fetch; Fetch also per-domain QPS limits.
Note: Harness / Claude Code / Codex server-side tool calls currently free; per-request billing starts 00:00 Beijing time on November 1, 2026.
