Black Forest Labs released FLUX 3 Image Klein, a 5.6B-parameter open-weights model for text-to-image generation, editing, and multi-reference generation (up to 10 references). It supports native 4K output, pixel-perfect editing, and bounding-box control.
The release includes base and step-distilled checkpoints plus FP8, INT8, and NVFP4 builds with NVIDIA. Internal evals rank it first among compared open models in text-to-image, multi-reference, and editing, above larger open models and some closed competitors. Weights need 11.2 GB (BF16) or 5.6 GB (FP8); INT8 enables ~8 GB VRAM on GeForce RTX via ComfyUI/Diffusers.
