Barclays expects half of its developers to be using Anthropic’s Claude Code by end of 2026, and most by end of 2027, as part of an expanded strategic collaboration integrating AI systems across global operations.
Barclays’ Colleague Knowledge Assistant is used by more than 16,000 UK employees and has handled over 1 million searches since 2025. Claude models within Global Markets process 120,000 client emails daily.
