OpenAI brought voice-based agentic features to the ChatGPT mobile app on September 23, 2026. Plus and Pro subscribers can trigger Work tab workflows — drafting documents, emails, Slack summaries — via voice, with cross-device session handoff to desktop.
Free and Go users receive plugin and connected-app voice access but not full Work tab agentic workflows. The rollout extends July 2026 GPT-Live desktop integration to mobile, including CarPlay support for connected apps like email and Google Drive.
