September 19, 2026 — US President Donald Trump launched an online poll on Truth Social asking whether “artificial intelligence” should be replaced with Superior Intelligence (SI), Extreme Intelligence (EI), or Supreme Intelligence.
Trump argued the familiar term is “inaccurate” and “very ineloquent” relative to the technology revolution. He called AI safety concerns a “hoax” and said government regulations are unnecessary.
