Timeline and operations
Waymo intends to begin initial driving operations in 2027, starting with manual mapping and validation driving before phased autonomous rollout. Commercial service is intended to open in 2028.
Waymo will work with the Ministry of Transport, Land Transport Authority, and other local authorities to secure necessary approvals. Operations will start with Jaguar I-PACE vehicles equipped with fifth-generation Waymo Driver.
