Stripe launched Link’s wallet for agents, built on Stripe Issuing for agents. Developers can give agents programmatic access to Link with one-time-use cards or Shared Payment Tokens (SPTs) backed by cards and bank accounts already in the wallet. The agent never gets raw payment credentials.
Link handles abstraction across payment options, fund flow complexity, and reaches 200M+ consumers (blog figure; newsroom cites 300M globally).
Issuing for agents provides single-use virtual cards, fund storage, spending controls, transaction monitoring, and fraud tools for developer-built agentic wallets, vertical SaaS, and marketplace supplier payments.
