Google is testing a new product designed to help families coordinate with the support of an AI agent. The search giant introduced an updated version of CC, an AI agent designed to work across email, calendar, chats, and tasks. With the update, CC now focuses on keeping families organized, planning for the day ahead, and handling family-specific tasks like signing permission slips, creating shopping lists, or crafting weekly meal plans.
CC began as a productivity agent delivering “Your Day Ahead” briefings via Gmail. In May it came to the Gemini app as “Daily Brief.” User requests showed demand for household management: kids’ school schedules, sports practices, bills, meal plans.
CC is getting its own Google account so it can collaborate with family members while maintaining specific data permissions. Each family member chooses what to share — school events, sports, clubs, birthday invites, doctor appointments — forwarded to CC via email or automated sender rules.
CC supports up to six family members. It tracks dates and to-dos, adds them to shared calendars and task lists, fills out permission slips and registration PDFs, plans meals, calculates drive times, and creates shared Docs or Sheets.
CC runs on its own isolated cloud computer, powered by Gemini and Google’s agentic harness Antigravity. Available only for U.S. users with personal Gmail accounts ages 18+. Existing users will be invited to upgrade; new users can join a waitlist.
