Worldline to accept agentic AI payments

French payments provider Worldline has become one of the first European firms to facilitate payments via agentic AI.

The move positions Worldline at the intersection of agentic AI assistants and payment rails, enabling AI agents to initiate or complete transactions on behalf of users. Worldline is a major European payment processor serving merchants and financial institutions across the continent.
