According to Tether CEO Paolo Ardoino on Saturday, August 15, the stablecoin issuer is not building a blockchain and has no plans to launch one. Ardoino’s statement rejected a CoinMarketCap analysis that grouped Tether with Stripe and Circle as participants in a $1 billion stablechains race. Ardoino clarified that Tether remains “agnostic” and supports multiple transport layers for its stablecoins.
