OpenAI Tells Investors Enterprise Revenue Has Overtaken Its ChatGPT Consumer Business

OpenAI CFO Sarah Friar told shareholders on August 14, 2026 that enterprise revenue now exceeds consumer ChatGPT revenue — roughly two quarters ahead of prior year-end parity guidance.
“We entered the year at 60-40, but enterprise has accelerated much faster than expected and those lines have now crossed,” Friar said per CNBC’s attendee sourcing.
Annualized revenue run rate reached 1 billion annual run rate.
