RWX Raises $12M Series A to Scale the Dev Cloud for AI-Driven Engineering

August 14, 2026 — The AI Insider

RWX, the dev cloud platform built for AI-driven software engineering, announced a $12 million Series A financing led by Hyde Park Venture Partners. Existing investor Quiet Capital participated, alongside The O.H.I.O. Fund, R1 Capital, DV, and angel investors including Bryan Johnson and Jenkins creator Kohsuke Kawaguchi.

Thesis

AI agents write and change code faster than humans, but CI pipelines, test suites, and deployment infrastructure designed for human-paced development create a validation bottleneck. RWX is purpose-built dev cloud infrastructure for validating AI-generated code.

“The limiting factor in software engineering is no longer writing code. It’s validating it,” said CEO Dan Manges.

Founders and customers

Founded by Dan Manges (ex-Root founding CTO, ex-Braintree) and CTO Tommy Graves. Customers include Honeycomb, Verkada, nCino, and Coalesce.

Honeycomb case study: content-based caching stopped rerunning unchanged work as AI-assisted build volume increased.

Use of funds

Expand team and accelerate dev cloud platform development. RWX — named after read, write, execute file permissions — is a cloud platform where engineers and AI coding agents build, test, and validate software. Headquartered in Columbus, Ohio.
