Israeli cyber startup raises $113m to secure and control autonomous AI agents

Thursday (Jul 30, 2026) — Onyx Security announced $113 million in funding to build a platform that lets humans stay in control as autonomous AI agents ramp up in the workplace.

Comes four months after Onyx emerged from stealth with 640 million, led by Bessemer Venture Partners. Other investors: Cyberstarts, TCV, Conviction, FirstMark, Vintage Investment Partners, QuantumLight, G Squared. Total raised: $153 million.

Use of proceeds: train next-generation proprietary models; expand business development and footprint across the US and additional global markets.

Founded 2024 by Maxim Bar Kogan (ex-IDF Unit 8200; former VP product/engineering at Mixtiles) and Gil Elbaz (former AI architect at Nvidia; senior algorithm developer in Israeli Air Force OT unit).

Platform: AI control plane to see every AI agent running, set rules for what agents can/can’t do, enforce in real time. “Guardian agent” identifies risky/malicious actions and decides to approve, redirect, or block — pulling in a human only when needed.

CEO Bar Kogan: in 2025 less than 1% of actions performed by AI agents; expects most enterprise actions soon; critical for energy, financial services, healthcare.
