Anthropic launched Claude Tag on June 23, 2026 — a new way for teams to work with Claude in Slack. Teams grant Claude access to selected channels and connect tools, data, and codebases. Anyone can tag @Claude to delegate multi-step tasks.
Each channel gets a shared Claude instance with isolated memories per team. Ambient mode enables proactive follow-ups and async project tracking. Available in beta for Enterprise and Team customers on Opus 4.8.
Claude Tag replaces the existing Claude in Slack app (sunset August 3, 2026). Administrators set token spend limits, view activity logs, and configure tool access. Introductory launch credits offered to eligible organizations.
