Visa brings its global payment network and security infrastructure to OpenAI experiences. Visa Intelligent Commerce provides the foundation — tokenized payment capabilities, authorization, agent identification, and fraud monitoring via Visa APIs.

Developers and merchants get a streamlined way to accept Visa payments initiated by AI agents.

Visa enables secure transaction initiation, real-time authorization and fraud monitoring, and user-defined permission controls: spending limits, merchant category restrictions, and approval requirements. Consumers remain in command even when an agent executes the transaction.
