At Computex 2026, NVIDIA announced Isaac GR00T reference design combining Unitree H2 Plus humanoid (nearly 6 feet, 150 pounds, 31 DOF), Sharpa five-fingered hands, and Jetson Thor onboard compute with GR00T open software stack.
Platform also supports cheaper Unitree G1 humanoid. NVIDIA first revealed GR00T N1 foundational model in March 2026; now at N1.7 alongside Cosmos 3.
No physical robot demonstrated at keynote — Huang positioned Isaac GR00T as open foundation humanoid development platform. Stanford Robotics Center’s Steve Cousins: “Robotics moves fastest when researchers can build on open platforms, share code and test ideas on real machines.”
Unitree H2 listed at $29,900 on website (renders only). Availability late 2026.
