NVIDIA Cosmos 3 is a frontier foundation model for physical AI combining physical reasoning, world generation, and action generation in a single open model, announced at GTC Taipei May 31, 2026.
Architecture: Mixture-of-Transformers (MoT) with autoregressive reasoner tower (VLM) and diffusion-based generator tower. Cosmos 3 Nano (16B) targets workstation RTX PRO 6000; Cosmos 3 Super (64B) targets Hopper/Blackwell datacenter deployment.
Open release includes checkpoints on Hugging Face, six SDG datasets, post-training scripts, and Cosmos NIM microservices. Leads on VANTAGE-Bench, PAI-Bench, R-Bench Physics-IQ, and RoboLab benchmarks.
